Our speaker Sheila Willis was a police officer , or WPC in the 60s and 70s, when there was a huge difference in policing without radios and mobile phones. communications were made by red phone boxes. In 2002, Sheila returned into the police as a community officer. During her career, she received many commendations including the Surrey
Neighbourhood Watch Award. Sheila is still involved in Voluntary Community projects for which she received a Mayor of Guildford Award.
